You ask why I just give 3.5? Well, I agree that the book was a fast read and captivating. Also, I did let learn some things about Mexican I suppose. However, that's where the praise ends. I like the idea of Piggy Pallooza, but I think that the book could have been a little more descriptive. There is a hint that yeah the reading is going to get more interesting, but let's not forget that the general idea is so cliche. Lia and Kiev don't like each other. Kiev has a secret crush on Lia. Then boom an incident happens, and ya all the rest is you know what it is...

Review: The Beholder

The Beholder is an equal mix of politics and romance intertwingled together just right. As I began the book, I questioned myself what this book would intel since the beginning seems so simplistic. It starts with the dilemma leading Selah to go around the continent to find the one. The plot is set based on so many fairy tales. I thought that it would be something cliche, but I loved the surprise that I got. Overall, I enjoyed the book. I wonder what other books in the series will bring. I had never imagined that The Beholder was a ship, to be honest. The shock that I got at the end was predictable to some extent, however, the degree of it surprised me. Review: Evermore

Evermore by Sara Holland My rating: 3 of 5 stars Thanks to HarperTeen for providing me with an advanced reader copy in exchange for an honest review. 3&1/2 star Oh boy. This book was a very fast read. I personally enjoyed this book, but it was somewhat boring. Plus, I thought that the plot was a little bit rushed creating holes. What I really mean is that I love the whole concept of the Alchemist and the Sorceress. It is definitely unique. As such, I feel as though Holland did not do justice to the book by ending everything so soon. There are books that end sooner than they should while others are stretched beyond purpose. This series is the former kind is all I am saying. In essence, I was satisfied with the ending. The writing quality is good as well.
