Bacon Pie

Bacon Pie by Candace Robinson My rating: 3 of 5 stars 3 & 1/2 You ask why I just give 3.5? Well, I agree that the book was a fast read and captivating. Also, I did let learn some things about Mexican I suppose. However, that's where the praise ends. I like the idea of Piggy Pallooza, but I think that the book could have been a little more descriptive. There is a hint that yeah the reading is going to get more interesting, but let's not forget that the general idea is so cliche. Lia and Kiev don't like each other. Kiev has a secret crush on Lia. Then boom an incident happens, and ya all the rest is you know what it is... View all my reviews

Love & Luck

Love & Luck by Jenna Evans Welch My rating: 4 of 5 stars "Do you know what I love about humans, pet? Its our dogged stupidity. When it comes to love we never learn. Ever. Even when we know the risks." So, I don't know about you, but I learned this simple fact: Irish four leaf clover= Faith+Luck+Love+Hope mostly love though... Last year, I read Love & Gelato by Welch. I really enjoyed journeying with Lina through the imaginary streets of Italy I created while reading the book. So, when I picked up Love & Luck, I thought that it would be similar to Lina's story, in a way. I was kind of surprised and happy that it was just another unique story. I mean tell me: where will you find a book which will act as your Lady guide while helping you mend your heart? Or, in this case, tear your heart apart to start a new chapter... As you might know from the synopsis, Addie is visiting Ireland for aunt's third wedding? After the wedding, she is supposed to

Eliza and Her Monsters

Eliza and Her Monsters by Francesca Zappia My rating: 4 of 5 stars Wow, I can relate to Eliza a lot. I think I liked the book particularly because of her. I am a really anti-social person, and so I like to do other stuff like keeping myself busy with drawing, reading, or writing. Also, I can also relate my sibling with Sully and Church. It was an awesome read. In the beginning, I wondered why Wallace speaks only sometimes. As the story went on, I realized like oh yeah right... There is also a message that it is better, to tell the truth to the important people in our life instead of letting them guess. It certainly saves a lot of trouble. Further, there is also a side story which is a webcomic, Monster Sea. Definitely, "THERE ARE MONSTERS IN THE SEA" View all my reviews

History Is All You Left Me

History Is All You Left Me by Adam Silvera My rating: 5 of 5 stars "I have one last question for you: I didn't get our history wrong, did I? HISTORY IS ALL YOU LEFT ME Oh my god, this book was just amazing. It blew away my heart into pieces bit by bit. I have never read a book like this that could be both fun and so emotional at the same time. There is so much that happens in our life. I feel like each one of us has our unique own stories based on the way we perceive certain situation even when we don't realize it. There are times when we love someone with the full loyalty that is not reciprocated the way we want. Sometimes, we are so blindsided that we want safety by living in a lie, a small vulnerable bubble. In the book, Griff breaks up with Theo, so that Theo does not have to feel obliged to Griff, in case, he finds someone else. I think Theo is somewhat selfish although I like him, of course. It seems that both Griff and Jackson are naive in some ways by ful

What is this Blog about?

My Friend, I am feeling proud if you ended up on this blog. I don't know how many people are reading this post right now or how many will read it. I guess the bigger question is if anyone will read it. Yeah, the epitome of optimistic. Anyways, I am dedicating this blog to the randomness in life. There is no theme here, whatsoever.  I like reading like a lot. Probably, most of the times I might write a book review. Other times I might just right about some quirky thing I read. I like science, and I am artsy. See, totally random. I might occasionally end up writing a short story. You bet! I don't know where this journey is going to take us. The chances are no one is even going to read my posts. Hoping for the best. Adios, Dru
